What can we learn from the #MeToo campaign?

The Harvey Weinstein fiasco is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to depravity in Hollywood and the power structures that rule this world. The maxim: “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely” could not be more pertinent right now.

The #MeToo hashtag campaign trending on social media is focusing on the exploitation of women and the misogynistic attitudes of men in power. I wholeheartedly agree with the intention of this campaign — to raise awareness and highlight the fact that Weinstein’s vile behavior is not isolated because, just about every female, in some way or another, has been sexually harassed, and many men as well.

Honestly, I don’t think any man on this planet has not witnessed or been party to some kind of sexual harassment of women. It is shameful to even consider this but it just shows how messed up this world is.

However, one thing that I feel is getting lost in this scandal is the fact that innocent children are being exploited — boys and girls — and not enough people are talking about it.

Hollywood’s Darkest Secret

In 2013, Hollywood actor, Cory Feldman bravely brought this to the attention of the public when he appeared on The View and was interviewed by 60 Minutes. However, the response from the interviewers was astonishing. Barbara Walters questioned him, “Are you saying there are pedophiles and that they are still in this business?” to which Feldman responded “yes” without hesitation. “They don’t want me here right now. They want me dead.” As Feldman went on to caution parents about the dangers of Hollywood, Walters interrupted, “ You’re damaging an entire industry! “ Feldman replied, “I’m sorry.”

In light of recent events, many people are now demanding Walters apologize for her insensitive remarks to Feldman.

And then during the 60 Minutes interview, the host responded, “Intriguing” to Feldman’s shocking testimony that he was surrounded by “vultures”!

Hollywood actor and comedian, Roseanne Barr is not afraid to speak up on many controversial topics, including mind control in Hollywood.

In an interview with RT, Barr talked about the dark side of the entertainment industry and directly mentioned MK ULTRA as being a major force in Hollywood.

The normalization of the Sexual abuse of Children

Pedophilia has been a problem in society since the dawn of humanity but if it is not being swept under the carpet by psychopathic narcissists, it is being explained away and excused by religious elitism, as in the naive belief that a “small indiscretion” cannot undo all of the spiritual good a person has done! For example, Krishna actually states as such in the Bhagavad-gita:

Even if one commits the most abominable actions, if he is engaged in devotional service, he is to be considered saintly because he is properly situated. BG 9.30

Krishna or the Bhagavad-gita does not in any way condone child abuse, however, I have seen people use this verse to excuse child molesters within ISKCON.

Then, of course, there are passages in the Bible, not that pedophilia is promoted but in Numbers 31:17–18 for example, Moses commands the Israelites that they can kill mothers and men and then keep the remaining young girls alive for themselves:

17. Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
18. But all the
women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

Then there is the Qur’an, where Prophet Muhammad married Aisha when she was six and had sexual intercourse with her while she still remained pre-pubescent at the age of nine lunar years. This fact has been recorded many times in Sahih ahadith.

Sexual abuse of children is disgusting and wrong in every case and transgressors should be removed from positions of leadership. But sadly, we rarely see that happen. Even in my own experience as a monk in ISKCON, I have seen admitted pedophiles continue on in positions of leadership without any legal action taken against them! And of course, this is a theme that runs through every religious organization. The Roman Catholic Church has been plagued with pedophilia crimes. A case in point is the Cardinal Pell case.

Through charisma, blackmail, financial manipulation, bullying, or even death threats, these low-lives remain in positions of power while abusing, raping, and sometimes killing children as part of a Satanic sacrifice.

You rarely hear reports of pedophilia in the mainstream media but in 2017 alone there were over 2000 arrests in the United States!

Here are some examples:

Millions of Children Disappearing

In 2016, there were more than 465,000 reports of missing children in the U.S. Of these missing children, 1 in 10 under the age of 18 will be sexually abused. That’s about 46,000 in the US alone!

The International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children reports that the lack of a common definition of “missing child,” and a common response to the issue, results in few reliable statistics on the scope of the problem around the world.

However, even with this challenge, we know that:

In Australia, an estimated 20,000 children are reported missing every year.

In Brazil, an estimated 40,000 children are reported missing every year.

In Canada, an estimated 45,288 children are reported missing each year.

In the United Kingdom, an estimated 112,853 children are reported missing every year.

National Crime Agency, UK Missing Persons Bureau — Missing Persons Data Report 2014/2015 15, May 16, 2016, at http://www.missingpersons.police.uk/download/56.

And in the United States, there were more than 465,000 reports of missing children in 2016.

Federal Bureau of Investigation, 2016 NCIC Missing Person and Unidentified Person Statistics, at https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/2016-ncic-missing-person-and-unidentified-person-statistics.pdf/view.

This, however, is only a snapshot of the problem. In many countries, statistics on missing children are not even available; and, unfortunately, even available statistics may be inaccurate due to: under-reporting/under-recognition; inflation; incorrect database entry of case information; and deletion of records once a case is closed.

Ritualistic Killing of Children Throughout History

Child sacrifice is the ritualistic killing of children in order to please or appease a god or supernatural beings in order to achieve the desired result. As such, it is a form of human sacrifice. Many believe that a good percentage of missing children around the world are sacrificed in Satanic rituals.

You may think this idea is far-fetched and conspiratorial, but just about every culture has some history of this abominable act. Here is a good place to start your research.

Child sacrifice was not confined to the Mayan, Aztec, Phoenicia, and Carthage cultures. It was also practiced by the Canaanites and through the process of religious syncretism by some Israelites. The earliest reference to child sacrifice in the Bible is found in Leviticus where the practice is addressed by Moses in connection with Molech:

Do not give any of your children to he passed through (the fire) to Molech for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord. (Lev. 18:21; see also 20:1–5). The “passing through” refers to sacrificing by burning in a fire. Read more here.

Modern Sacrifice of Children

A few years ago, a Dutch banker by the name of Ronald Bernard exposed the evil rituals of some elite bankers in this tell-all interview where he states that he personally witnessed child sacrifice!

Infanticide

However, the most despicable form of child sacrifice is abortion. Around 56 million abortions are performed each year in the world, nearly half of which is done unsafely. Those who favor the legality of abortion often believe that a woman has a right to make decisions about her own body, however, what these people conveniently ignore is the fact that the aborted baby (fetus) is a living being. Granted, consciousness may not be fully developed but even as early as 3 weeks, the developing baby has a heart pumping blood.

According to modern science, one of the main criteria of consciousness is Self-awareness — a psychological state in which you take yourself as an object of attention. In other words — the experience of being a self, different from other objects and persons in the world. So with this definition of “consciousness”, scientists will typically state that a child is not conscious until well after 15 months. However, according to the ancient Vedic scriptures, by the 7th lunar month, the child is fully conscious in the womb of the mother and it is only after the trauma of birth that the child forgets everything to start afresh a new life in a new body.

The description of the child in the womb is given in chapter 31 of the 3rd Canto of the Srimad Bhagavatam, a scripture recorded over 5000 years ago:

The Supreme Lord said: ‘Because of its karma the living entity, guided by the Lord , enters through the particle of semen of a man the womb of a woman in order to dwell there for obtaining a body. On the first night the sperm and ovum mix, at the fifth night there is a bubble and in about ten days it is thereafter like a plum, lump of flesh or an egg. Within a month a head appears and within two months limbs like arms and feet form. The nails, [the beginnings of] hair, bones, skin, reproductive organs and the apertures appear within three months. I n about four months the seven ingredients separate [body-fluids and other elements], in five months feelings like hunger and thirst occur and in six months the fetus starts to move to the right in the amnion [males to the right, females to the left so one says]. From the nutrition and fluid obtained from the mother, the body of the fetus grows as it stays in that impossible hollow where[about] stool and urine form a breeding ground for germs. All the time aching for food, it is, being so tender, affected by infestations [‘worms’] and thus has to suffer all over its body a great deal while residing there, moment after moment lapsing into unconsciousness. Because of the excessive bitterness, heat, pungency, saltiness, dryness, the sourness etc. of the food taken by the mother, it is affected in every limb and thus feels pain. Enclosed by the amnion in that place surrounded by the intestines it lies with a bent neck and back arched with its head in its belly. Like a bird in a cage that has no freedom of movement, it still remembers — when it is lucky — what has happened in all its past hundreds of births. Remembering such a long history, it will sigh, for what peace of mind can it achieve then? From the seventh month on it is endowed with consciousness, but at the same time, it is pushed down by the pressure of the womb where it cannot stay, just like the worm stemming from the same belly.

T he fearful living entity bound to its seven constituents [nails, skin, fat, flesh, blood, bone, marrow], then, with folded hands and faltering words prays, appealing to the Lord who placed him in that womb.

So in other words, a woman certainly does have the right to make decisions about her own body but they do not have the right to take the life of another living being.

The killing of 56 million innocent babies annually is very hard to justify. Pro-abortionists can hide the truth of this fact with euphemisms like “tissue removal”, and snide claims for free choice, but no one has a right to kill a baby.

Social commentator, Ben Shapiro has a powerful response to abortion proponents.

Mother Cow

“Lord Krishna is the protector of cows and the brahminical (spiritual) culture. A society devoid of cow protection and brahminical culture is not under the direct protection of the Lord…” — Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.14.34 (Purport)

Dairy cows are artificially impregnated (raped), beaten, injected with hormones; their calves are stolen from them and then after 3–4 years are slaughtered when their milk production drops. An estimated 35 million cows are killed annually just in the US. One can make a very strong argument for cows to be added to this #MeToo campaign.

Mercy for Animals did an undercover investigation of Canada’s largest dairy farm and this is what they found…

The Abuse of Mother Earth

Millions of women around the world posted the hashtag #MeToo and shared their stories of abuse. For many, it was empowering and liberating to finally get the horrible experience out in the open and I applaud their courage.

But what about Mother Earth? Every day, humanity abuses her by polluting the waterways and dumping millions of tons of trash. For example, just in the US, 254 million tons of trash, and 22 billion plastic bottles are dumped in the more than 2,000 active landfills in that country.

“Worldwide, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for people to access clean drinking water. The U.N. reports that about half of the world’s population is subject to polluted drinking waters, which results in as many as 6 to 10 million deaths annually. We’re dealing with a floating island of trash in the pacific ocean, and, on top of that, we are seeing entire ocean ecosystems, like corals which are essential for ocean well-being, floundering,” reports Adria Saracino at Care2.com

Despite our arrogance and insensitivity, Mother Earth graciously receives our burdensome energy in the form of waste and transforms it into something that we can later use to enrich our lives. Trees and plants selflessly provide us with oxygen from our recycled carbon dioxide. Water cleanses us physically and energetically without conditions. Every day, without fail, the sun rises to give us light and warmth and to nourish the food we will later eat.

Mother Earth is the perfect example of the unconditional love of a mother.

What is the real driving force behind sexual abuse?

So what can we learn from all this?

The abuse of women and children is nothing new and the #MeToo campaign was just scratching the surface of a much greater problem, that sexual abuse is not just about the lustful behavior of narcissists, but it is more about the frivolous desire to exploit and control another living being. You see, this foolish desire to overlord others is exactly what brought us to this material realm in the first place. You and I, as souls, took on a physical form to live out our selfish desires, to eventually be humbled, as is the case now with fools like Weinstein.

Sexual predators are not motivated by sensual pleasure, they are motivated by a desire to lord it over another person. In fact, if you ask most men, and they answer honestly, they’ll admit that the driving force behind their sexual cravings is much more than pleasure, (I mean, the average male orgasm only lasts 5–8 seconds) it is to feel “masculine” or “dominant” by expressing your power over a woman and making them submit to you. Of course, In the purest expressions of sexual intercourse, each partner is highly motivated to please their partner, and this is where the act of sex can be transformed into a spiritual experience, especially when the principal reason is for procreation as an offering to God.

Naturally, this same desire to dominate is also in the female mind, because it is literally the principal reason why we took birth in this material world in the first place — to live out our perverted but foolish desire to be masters. And that is exactly why great saints practiced celibacy and promoted abstinence and humility so that one’s consciousness could be pure at the time of death.

Krishna states in the Bhagavad-gita verse 8.6

O son of Kuntî, whatever state of being one remembers at the time of death, one certainly attains to that nature.

In other words, everything we do in this lifetime is preparing our consciousness for the critical moments just before death. If we continue with this exploitative mentality we will have to face the consequences. If one is obsessed with the form of the opposite sex, they will attain a similar form in their next life. So people like Weinstein will most certainly take birth as a female and suffer the same fate as he is dishing out to others in this life.

How can we heal?

For those of us that have suffered at the hands of these fools, just remember that you are not this body. Transcend the mental pain through meditation — focus on your Higher Self — the “driver” within this body that does NOT die after the body’s demise. You and I are eternal souls and are not defined by this one life.

Our nature is to love and be loved and to serve with unconditional love. Our innate quality as a soul is to serve but foolishly we think that happiness can only be achieved if other people serve us. If you think carefully about this, you’ll realize that all of the highlights of happiness in your life have come when you have unconditionally served others. It is when we finally recognize this fact and cultivate this quality through acts of devotion to God and humanity that we begin the process of self-realization.

A self-realized soul is one that understands their nature as a soul trapped within a physical form and that the purpose of human life is to reawaken our love for God, manifested practically through acts of devotion and loving service to God and God’s children.

Abuse and exploitation in any form are diametrically opposed to the nature of spirit and fools like Weinstein are finding out the hard way.

So I suggest a new hashtag #DontBeLikeWeinstein
